LE SLING - The Original (and only) Lower Extremity Leg Sling

The LE Sling works by reducing the workload of the lower extremity musculature in the gait cycle.  It does this by providing a bungee-assisted, pulling motion when one is in the terminal stance/push off phase of the gait cycle. This allows for the affected lower extremity to be more supported and to do less work, which will create less translational friction in the hip, knee, and ankle joints.

Unlike comparable products, the LE Sling provides a simple and yet dynamic bungee-powered assistance to the lower extremity through the push off and swing phases of the gait cycle. The device integrates a durable waist band, NiteIze brand CamJam® XT cast Aluminum Cord Tighteners for bungee assistance, and a flexible footpad that aides users in lifting their foot off the ground and advancing it forward. The LE Sling is unique in its field and can help improve one’s quality of life by reducing pain in the post-operative or injured extremity, as well as improve function in those that have limited mobility caused by a variety of conditions.

LE Sling has a low profile and sturdy design that allows for both at home and community use. Device can be worn on outside or inside of apparel depending on user preference. Foot pad can be placed on outside or inside of shoe depending on level of control required and user preference.

LE Sling can be used in conjunction with crutches, cane, or a walker and with user-determined tension pull, will allow for full non-weight bearing of the affected lower extremity. LE Sling is also small, light-weight and allows for self-donning/doffing and is easily portable. This makes for easy home and community transportation and usability.

LE Sling is built by hand in the USA with parts designed to ensure a long service life without deterioration in form or function.
